Shrimp Fishery, The Technology, Processes, and Equipment, undated
Scope and Contents
This series contains the research materials Dr. Nash collected throughout his dissertation work and comprises the large majority/bulk of this collection. Nash performed extensive research into Chinese American communities and Chinatowns in California (from the 1880s to early 1900s). It appears that while his dissertation was on the Chinese Shrimp Fisheries in California, his extensive notes and research imply that he was going to conduct a more broad, wideranging study on the general conditions of the Chinese in America during the late 19th century. However, his death shortly after the completion of his doctoral dissertation prevented this from coming to fruition.
